2018 GMC Sierra 1500 engine, price, features and release date

A new generation of Sierra 1500 will be launched by General Motors very soon with some modifications and different body styling and engine options for personalized assembling. The GMC Sierra 1500 would boast handsome and tough looks with the ferocious towing capability and strong performance but the modifications to the 2018 model would be very minimal. However, a complete new redesigning for the Sierra is being planned by GM in the near future. Nevertheless, Sierra has 2500 and 3500 line-up for stronger towing capacity.

The 2018 Sierra would be offering many engine options with some powertrains standing high on public demand. The base model of 2018 GMC Sierra would boast a standard 4.3 liter EcoTec3 V6 engine with direct injection, active fuel management and Variable Valve Timing generating an outcome of 285 hp and 305 pound-feet of torque as the powertrain but will offer a 5.3-liter V8 engine with all-wheel drive platform as an option. These would be coupled with the 6-speed automatic transmission.

The most appreciated powertrain would constitute a 6.2-liter V8 engine which would be capable to produce an outcome of 420 horsepower with paired 8-speed automatic transmission. This would be available as standard in the range-topping model and as an option in lower trim with the capability to tow 12,500 pounds when properly equipped. There would be another 445 hp 6.6 liter V8 diesel engine. The GMC Sierra 1500 would be available in 4 trim variants: Base, SLE, SLT and Denali.

The Sierra 1500 will be a mini-truck vehicle designed with overloaded masculinity offering many body styles for the personalized needs of the buyer. There are steps on the rear end, on the bumper for an easy entry into the bed of the vehicle.

The cabin would come equipped with wireless phone charging and dual-zone climate control. The Infotainment system would be impressive, highlighted by the standard 7.0-inch IntelliLink touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, 6 Speaker Surround Audio System, Bluetooth Connectivity, CD / MP3 player, Satellite / HD Radio, Voice Recognition, WiFi hotspot, USB ports and AUX jacks.

There is supplementary Safety Alert Seat for the driver which is GM patented that allows the driver the option of getting haptic seat – bottom vibration pulses instead of audible crash avoidance alerts.
